University of Madras is offering an M.Sc., Cyber Forensics and Information Security program through its Department of Criminology with focus on managing the burgeoning incidence of cyber crimes and helping organizations to put in place an effective digital forensics mechanism. The MSc program with specialization in Cyber Forensics and Information Security is a two years, four semester full time program with an optimal mix of class room instructions and hands-on lab work. Another unique feature of this program is that more than three quarters of the course is taught by professionals who are actually handling real life engagements in the areas of information security, cyber forensics and management of cyber crimes. Their sessions are complemented by academicians who contribute to the teaching of strong conceptual foundations.
