It has wide applications in almost all the fields of infrastructure development like land use planning, utilities management, landscape assessment and planning, transportation and infrastructure planning, real estate analysis, telecommunications, Power Transmission & Distribution and many other applications GIS and Remote Sensing have already influenced us in almost every aspect of life.

ABOUT THE COURSE: This is a 50 Weeks full time PG Programme launched by NPTI in association with Counslting Engineering Services (India) Private Limited, comprising of various modules in Geographical Information Systems & Remote Sensing to address the emerging needs of the Industries. The course has been designed with an optimum blend of theory and practical. The theory provides a sound knowledge base to cover basic concepts supplemented by rich exposure to various domains through industry experts for applications development. On the other hand, adequate classroom practical exercises supplemented by proper On-job Training in various industries, would prepare the students to match the industry demands in GIS profession.

Eligibility: Graduates or Post Graduates in Science/ Geography/ Geology/ Agriculture/ Environmental/ Computer Sciences/ Computer Applications.
