Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology invites applications to the admission for Full Time / Part Time Ph.D. Program in the following departments :
- Civil Engineering (including Remote Sensing & GIS)
- Mechanical Engineering (including Production & Industrial Engineering)
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Applied Mechanics
- Material Science & Metallurgical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Architecture & Planning
- Energy Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Computer Applications (MCA)
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Bio - Informatics & Management Studies
Eligibility : Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (CGPA 6.0) from a recognized university, Reservations are as per prevailing GOI norms.
Selection : First preference will be given to valid GATE/NET qualified meritorious candidates with research aptitude. An Entrance test will be conducted at Institute level. Short listed meritorious candidates with research aptitude will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same.
Fellowship : Few numbers of full time candidates shall be considered for Research Fellowship subject to availability.
Application Form : Completed Application on the prescribed form will be accepted. The application form can be downloaded from the Institute website http://www.manit.ac.in (preferable mode). It can also be collected in person from MANIT, Bhopal by paying Rs. 50/- through A/c payee Bank Draft/IPO in favour of “MANIT Bhopal” or through post by sending a self-addressed A4 Size Envelope with A/c Payee Bank Draft/IPO of Rs. 50/- in
favour of “MANIT Bhopal”.
Submission : Completed forms can be submitted upto 5th July 2010 with a A/c Payee Bank Draft/IPO of Rs. 750/- in favour of “MANIT Bhopal” to Assistant Registrar (Admission), MANIT Bhopal – 462051. The Envelope must contain the following header, “Application form for Ph.D. Admssion in …………………………… Department” Application must submit separate applications and A/c Payee Bank Draft/IPO of Rs. 750/- if they wish to apply to
different Departments. Applications received after due date are likely to be rejected. No individual information for the test/interview will be sent. Test/Interview are tentatively scheduled in the IVth week of July 2010. The schedule of the Test/Interview will be displayed on the Institute website. Candidates are advised to check the Institute website periodically after submitting their applications.
