Eligibility and Admission Criteria:
For admission to M.Tech. Programmes the applicant must have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent cumulative grade point index) or any other qualifying degree examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University. (With minimum 55% marks or equivalent CPI).
For sponsored category the applicants must have 55% of aggregate marks or an equivalent cumulative grade point index in the qualifying examination and at least 2 years of experience in the concerned field after passing qualifying examination on the date of interview of admission. He / She should produce certificate from the sponsoring organization in the Performa provided in the application form along with experience certificate, last pay certificate and provident fund slip.
For all categories if applicant has passed the qualifying examination from University other than Nirma University he/she will be required to obtain eligibility certificate from Nirma University. The arrangement for obtaining the same will be made on the spot on payment of Rs. 500/-.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Government of India has set up the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh through an act of Parliament. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by OIDB and six leading Oil Public Sector Units (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL).
The Institute invites application for admission to new program of M.Tech (Petroleum Exploration) for the Academic session 2010-2011.
Eligibility: Candidates should
1. Have a Master of Science degree (1st Division / CPI= 6.0 ) in any one of the following disciplines from any AICTE approved Institute, State/Central University or Institute created under an Act of Parliament
a) Geology
b) Geophysics
2. Have a valid GATE score at the time of admission (Or) be sponsored by their employers and have at least 2 years work experience with the sponsoring employer. Applications in the prescribed form are invited for admission to M.Phil. Candidates who have passed the Master’s Degree of S.K. Essential Qualifications :

DST Sponsored Three Years M.Tech. Course on
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
(Jointly conducted by Department of Physics & Astrophysics and Department of Chemistry under the Faculty of Science)
Invites applications for Admission for the Academic Session 2010-2011
A Candidate must have qualified the Joint Admission Test (JAM-2010) to M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry only conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and few seats are also available for meritorious candidates qualifying the M.Sc. Admission Entrance Test 2010 for Physics/ Chemistry conducted by the University of Delhi.
Minimum Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree with Physics/ Chemistry as a subject with 60% aggregate marks for General Category & 55% for all reserved categories.
- Completed at least one year course in Mathematics (Statistics not allowed).
- Selected candidates may be provided scholarship of Rs. 3000/- pm to be sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India) or University of Delhi.
- Selected Students may be sent to reputed National and/ or Internation laboratories for dissertation/ course work.
Final Selection from the short-listed candidates will be done on the basis of performance at the interview.
Total number of seats for the course is 15 (Reservation of SC/ST/OBC candidates will be done as per the Delhi University norms)
Last date for the receipt of the application form is 25th June 2010 (Friday) on or before 3.30 PM along with demand draft of Rs. 250/- in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi payable at New Delhi.
